Become a Bag Lady (or man!)
The Sidewalk Interns give free gift bags to the clients coming in and out of Planned Parenthood. These bags contain life-affirming brochures and information in addition to nice items that girls would like. In order to keep our stock consistent, we have folks who have volunteered to place a standing order for basic items that make up our bags. They set up a schedule on their Amazon Prime (or wherever) to have specific supplies delivered directly to our office. Donors can choose which items they want to send and how much they want to give. Possible items would be lip balm, small soaps, shampoo, face wipes, nail polish, loofas, candy, etc. The interns are currently giving out about 75-100 bags per week, so these donated items are really helpful in keeping this program going. Sound like fun? Here is our wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3IXURH2AS39TR?ref_=wl_share
Send items directly to us at SACFL; 2202 Babcock Rd., SATX 78229. Or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll set you up!
Help Sponsor a Baby Bottle Boomerang Campaign
We have a large supply of plastic baby bottles that are made like a little bank. When a church agrees to do a BBB campaign, we distribute the bottles to the congregants as they leave church. The people are instructed to put in their change (bills or checks!) and then return the bottle to the church in the next few weeks for collection. We then collect the bottles and count the donations which will go to help support our programs such as 40 Days for Life and the Sidewalk Intern Program. If you know of a church willing to do a BBB, please let us know and we will follow up. (It is called Boomerang because the bottles go out and then come back to us to use again!)
