Guadalupe Home is a transitional living program for homeless expectant mothers and homeless mothers with infants. We provide supportive services to help women develop parenting skills, secure housing, and reach employment and educational goals. Since Guadalupe Home first opened in 1997, hundreds of mothers and babies have received basic services such as shelter, food, and clothing, as well as childbirth and parenting education, counseling, case management, life skills training, and optional spiritual development. During their stay at the Home, mothers have a safe place to live and to prepare for birth, and have a home-like environment in which to nurture their baby. Women who come to the Guadalupe Home are ready to improve their lives and the lives of their children by participating in the above-mentioned programs, as well as enrolling in educational classes or seeking employment. In the past year we served nearly 50 new mothers and babies.
