"It would be unfair to restrict a woman's choice by prohibiting abortion."

January 31, 2013 - 6:53pm
Every person has the right to choose. It would be unfair to restrict a woman's choice by prohibiting abortion. Any civilized society restricts the individual’s freedom to choose whenever that choice would harm an innocent person. When I present the prolife position on school campuses, I often begin by saying: I’ve been introduced as being pro-life, but I want to make clear that I’m really pro-choice. I believe that a person has the right to do whatever she wants with her own body. It’s none of our business what choice she makes, and we have no...Read more

The Blessing of a Belated Hug

January 17, 2013 - 6:19pm
An amazing thing happened this Saturday while praying at Planned Parenthood. It was after 12:30pm and a sparse number of prayer warriors were on the sidewalk and I was one of them. I was standing in prayer directly across from the front door of the facility. I did not notice a car pull up almost in front of me until one of the sidewalk counselors began speaking to a woman who had opened the car door and instead of heading into the facility, headed toward the sidewalk. I heard her say, "I want to talk to her" as she pointed at me. I looked up...Read more

“What about Abortion for Serious or Fatal Birth Defects?”

January 3, 2013 - 4:18pm
“A society will be judged on the basis of how it treats its weakest members.” ― John Paul II. 1 Try to imagine for just for a moment the heartbreak of a young couple discovering that their unborn child faces a serious or fatal birth defect such as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. After the initial shock, they quickly realize that many tough obstacles lay ahead, problems that other parents just don’t have to face. One young husband and wife we know faced this tragedy last year. In addition to hearing that their preborn baby had HLHS, the mother...Read more

Shouldn't women be able to control their own bodies?

December 14, 2012 - 1:03pm
The battle over abortion and birth control in the United States has been raging for nearly a century. A cartoon in the May 1919 issue of Margaret Sanger’s Birth Control Review shows a woman being crushed by a giant roll of paper labeled “Laws Controlling Women’s Bodies.” “Woman’s body, woman’s choice” is the most common slogan pro-abortionists have used during the entire conflict. Two variations are the indignant demand “What makes you religious fanatics think you can tell me what to do with my uterus?,” and the tiresome chant “Keep your...Read more

“Shouldn't We Permit Abortion Only to Save the Life of the Mother?"

November 29, 2012 - 5:14pm
Abortion is completely legal in more than one hundred nations. In almost every case, population controllers first drove in the ultra-thin wedge of an abortion exception just to save the life of the mother. This is a brilliant strategy for two reasons. First, abortionists can easily stretch any law, no matter how strict or precisely written, into abortion on demand. Since they falsely consider abortion to be safer than childbirth, pro-abortionists can easily justify all abortions under the “life of the mother” exception. In fact, abortionists...Read more

Is Your President My President?

November 8, 2012 - 6:27pm
Many prolifers are upset at the results of the presidential election as we have another four years of the most pro-abortion, pro-Planned Parenthood administration of all time. But we have to remember one thing. God is our ultimate president. With an eternal term. In a certain sense we are in a constant election. We elect the spiritual president of our lives every moment of every day. He has quite a convincing opposition running for the same seat in our lives. The winner is up to us. We have to make the continual choice to choose God as the...Read more

This past Tuesday, September 4th the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) hosted a public hearing regarding the proposed Texas Women's Health program rules excluding Planned Parenthood and abortion providers from the program. October Baby Movie Night A Success

August 30, 2012 - 3:02pm
This past Saturday we had about 175 people in attendance at the special pre-release showing of October Baby. Many lives were touched and hearts were healed watching this powerful movie of forgiveness. Lorna said about the movie, "I think that the perspective of a victim of a failed abortion is pretty unique and powerful, because it's probably the next best thing to having the babies talk (which we can't have). We hear so much about the mothers' choice and well-being, but not enough about the child that they are carrying, and what they can grow...Read more
